notes on a guitar pick

It’s orange. It’s malleable in my fingers. Easy to bend, with a lot of give. It has a triangle shape, with rounded corners. There are no markings on the pick, no logo. There used to be, I think, but the oils in my fingers have worn it away over time. Its texture is somewhere in between glossy and matte — it doesn’t have that rough matte texture, but doesn’t catch the light. Its so thin as to almost be a flat plane, but obviously it is three-dimensional. I can flip it back and forth between my thumb, index, and middle finger, and there are no surprises in how it feels. I can flick it and it makes a high-pitched sound. It doesn’t smell like anything. It might have smelled like plastic when it was new, but that stench has faded. I am not going to taste it.
